E-Vent

SPBES uses a uni-direction valve connected to the duct in the rack, without the possibility of back blow, safely removing any potential for fire. Typically battery suppliers allow gas to enter the battery room or offer extraction through a plenum, both of which can increase the potential for an explosion.

CellCool Liquid Cooling

Each cell is encased in its own cooling channel. The cell is uniformly cooled, controlling against thermal runaway (fire) and premature cell aging which will shorten the battery system lifespan. In multiple tests, SPBES has demonstrated the ability to completely control temperature and eliminate thermal runaway.

Integrated Racking

The modules are housed in an easily transported flat pack racking system that is assembled on site. This solid steel rack construction provides further mechanical protection, integrated cooling and an external venting system.

CellSwap Battery Re-Coring

SPBES brings value in the marine battery market to a new level.

SPBES CellSwapTM is a retrofit process to rebuild the inside of a battery onboard a vessel.

SPBES CellSwapTM is simple; the cells in the core of the battery can be replaced when nearing end of life. Other items, such as electronics and racking, are reused. There is no need for costly refit of existing hardware, only the consumable parts such as the cells are replaced.

SPBES BATTERY POWER

SPBES uses the highest quality, highest performing lithium ion cells available. These cells are designed and engineered to provide years of performance in the most demanding industrial applications. Depending on a customers application, one of three types of cells may be specified for use: NMC power, NMC energy or high cycle Ttitanate.

Power 65 (P65): SPBES specifies industrial rated NMC power cells to provide huge discharge currents with very little impedance and very long lifespan. Typically used in high power machine start applications like DP thrusters or cranes, the SPBES power battery is designed to thrive at the highest power levels.

Energy 100 (E100): In applications where a deeper discharge and longer runtime between charge cycles is required, SPBES recommends NMC energy cells. These cells have greater capacity meaning a vessel can achieve longer runs between ports with a smaller battery and lower capital cost.

Titanate 35 (T35): is the flagship lithium battery from SPBES. Designed for ultra high discharge rates and extreme cycle life, the T35 is the ultimate powerhouse for your industrial application. SPBES Titanate cells make a battery that is ideally suited to stationary or extreme long cycle life type applications.
